Two major firms operating in the intelligent automation space added senior leaders to their teams recently.

Low-code automation platform provider Appian has appointed Christopher Jones as Chief Revenue Officer. Jones, a 30-year veteran in the technology sales space, will be responsible for Appian’s global sales effort, including direct sales, partnerships, business development and renewals.

“Appian has built a leadership position in the low-code industry through superior technology and a compelling vision to empower organizations and individuals,” Jones said. “I look forward to helping our customers and partners accelerate business outcomes with our platform.”

Separately, Seattle-area intelligent automation technology provider Nintex named Jet Theuerkauf as its Chief Customer Officer. Theuerkauf is a veteran of the automation space, coming to Nintex from his most recent post at Blue Prism.

Nintex, which acquired process discovery and RPA provider Kryon last February, adds Theuerkauf to the CCO role after naming a new CFO last spring.

“Jet’s built his career around being the voice of the customer,” said Eric Johnson, Nintex CEO. “His breadth of business expertise—coupled with his deep knowledge of the process automation market, and the unique challenges customers face in managing their processes—make him the perfect addition to the team at Nintex.”
